The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth with 165 luxury private residences, is pleased to be returning to Dublin this morning for her third visit in five years, 2010, 2013 & 2015
This impressive 644-foot luxury Ship embodies a distinctive, one-of-a-kind lifestyle of exclusive luxury travel where its Residents explore every corner of the globe, experience myriad different cultures and gain privileged access to the planet’s most beautiful destinations, all from the comfort of their own home.
The World arrived into the Port of Dublin this morning for a 3 day visit, the highlight event, a gala dinner at Dublin’s Mansion House as part of the venues 300th year anniversary. The visit has been in planning for over 12 months by Irish hospitality and event specialists, Corporate.ie; winners of the Event Industry Awards (EIA) Best Corporate Event for the World’s visit to Ireland in 2013.

The World sails into Dublin after completing a tour of Europe which included Saint- Malo, La Rochelle, Bilbao, Porto, Valencia, Tunis, Kerkyra, Trieste and Venice. On Monday evening at 6pm, The World departs for Iceland, Canada and onto the United States, arriving in Portland in mid -September.
On-board The World
This private community offers the ultimate combination of thrilling and enriching travel with world-class amenities and facilities including impeccable culinary mastery in its six restaurants, exceptional golf facilities with onboard putting greens and a state-of-the-art golf simulator, the only full-size tennis court at sea, swimming pools, a spa, a fitness center, expert destination lecturers, library, cinema and more.
This strikingly beautiful Ship promises gracious and personal service in a warm, inviting ambience much like that of a private yacht, well-staffed private home or exclusive country club. The average occupancy at one time is 150-200 Residents and Guests so the atmosphere is quite intimate. There are some Residents who live on the Ship year-round, with the majority continuing to be active in their professional lives and spending three to four months onboard.
Dublin Port
The World will be the 68 Cruise Visit of 2015 into Dublin Port of a scheduled 100 calls from across the globe, making 2015 the busiest year for Cruise Tourism for the City and Port of Dublin. According to Pat Ward, Head of Corporate Services Dublin Port Company, ‘The number of cruise ships visiting Dublin will grow significantly in the next decade as Dublin Port Company commences work on the Alexandra Berth Redevelopment project which will enable Dublin Port to cater for the largest cruise ships in the world, which will enhance Dublin’s reputation as a marquee destination / city for cruise lines to call to – we are delighted to welcome the World back again to Dublin so soon after its last visit of 2013.’
